Acorn Art has been established in the west coast town of Helensburgh in Scotland since 1976. All work is carried out on the premises by professional framer and business owner who joined the business in 1983. On the 45th anniversary of the business it moved to bigger more modern premises in 2006 which allowed the business to expand and open The Oak Tree Gallery. The gallery consists of main exhibition space and a smaller studio on the upper floor and one smaller studio on the ground floor. All are available to hire for exhibitions, art classes, holistic classes and workshops, counselling, meetings and more. More information can be found by clicking the link in the menu for “The Oak Tree Gallery”.

To help you choose the best frame for your artwork we can show you digitally how the finished job will look. The following images give an example of how a picture will look using different picture mouldings.

Artwork can be enhanced by adding either single, double or triple mounts. A range of colours are available to choose from. Daler-Rowney mountboards with conservation grade white core are used as standard. Images below show some variations of mounts for a giclee print titled “Summer Shadows, Arisaig” by Artist David M Graham

Regular 2mm picture glass is used as standard. For jobs that need a bit more protection we offer 70 – 99% UV filter glass. For the ultimate finish Anti-glare AR70 or AR90 invisible glass is available. The image below shows an example of a job which has had AR70 glass fitted.
